With a passion for storytelling and creating intimate performance spaces, Josh’s stage show is complemented by his extensive looping setup to create a tantalising soundscape of groove, musicality, and harmony supporting his unmistakable vocal styling that crosses the boundaries of all genre.
Josh is well recognised within the Australian East Coast music scene, and has performed shows all around Australia. A traveller at heart, Josh has journeyed from Cairns to Melbourne and Alice Springs to Adelaide sharing his art. He has performed at the Woodford Folk Festival, Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony 2018 (QLD), Tamworth Country Music Festival (NSW), Desert Harmony Festival (NT), Soundz and Boomz (NZ) and countless other performance spaces. He has worked alongside renowned artists like Darren Percival, Tay Oskee and Hailey Calvert, and now travels worldwide sharing his art. Josh recorded his anticipated and well received EP 'Infinite' with Australia’s Mark Sholtez in early 2015 and is currently finishing his new EP alongside ARIA award-winning producer Ben Rodgers. ‘Season’ is due to launch in February 2020.
There is no pretense with Josh. Through the authenticity and vulnerability he expresses with his music, he makes people feel seen, understood and safe to be their true selves. At a time when many people battle with internal struggles they don’t feel safe to share, Josh reminds his listeners that they are not alone and that their suffering can be transformed into hope, empowerment and learnings.
Josh’s future focus lies in using his music to raise awareness around men’s mental health and the importance of community and connection, deepening the level of vulnerability through which he shares so that he can encourage others to continue to reflect, grow and tap into their inner strengths.
"Whether taking a festival stage shoeless in the sun, a theatre stage up in lights, or immersing in the echo of an empty room, Josh has a uniqueness and raw truth about him that is distinctly compelling” - Stefanie Brook Harper
